i would like guiding strike to be as a “get enemies to attack each other” this might be too good but i like the idea of being to fight by myself. as is not really feasible
for the pirate part he has simply been in the wrong place at the wrong(or right) times. he travels the world, falling in love with every woman he meets (always fun in big cities and places he has already been) he always seems to get caught but get away or some such happenstance.
He started out with family fishing business based out of Surpon, eventually moving up to captain of a whaling ship. On one voyage he was unceremoniously thrown overboard in a mutiny when the first mate decided they should capture a nearby whaling ship rather than work for a year at sea. Since he was halfway across the world and floating in the ocean his next job opportunity was instantly seized. Upon being rescued and returning to port, Lastilles, he was imprisoned for being a pirate as his former ship the “Great Hope” had be reported pirating. The next evening a notorious highway robber broke out of jail, and convinced that staying around would be more dangerous than as an accessory to the escape, common sense dictated that he go along. Bastard Briarborn as this brigand was known reconstituted his band in Tritor forest, including Jackson as their cook as he didn’t have the stomach for robbing travelers on the highway. Inevitably while cooking his famous rabbit stew the law showed up in force and incarcerated him for being a bandit and thief. In transit to local authorities(Rivendell) they were ambushed by a feral Werbanter(10 points for figuring that one out). In the midst of the fray Jackson excused himself and escaped. Figuring he had tried the sea and the forest the Autor mountains looked good. In his foray into the mountains he inevitably encountered some local wildlife. His strategic maneuvering led him into the mountains, quite literally. Thankfully the dwarven tunnels were occupied by dwarves and he easily settled into a life of mining and smithing apprenticeship (note smithing not recognized by spell check, suggests smiting). with the wanderlust never fully at bay he joined an expedition to the unknown in search of relics and treasure. here we find our intrepid hero at the bar with a few surly dwarves intent on reaching their goal
also what area are we starting in?
